Fun Adirondack Camping Activities

Lake Placid/Whiteface Mountain KOA offers a variety of fun (organized and otherwise) to enjoy:

Fishing Try a little "catch and release" fishing in the Ausable River (NYS Fishing License required for ages 16 and up). Hiking Hike one of the 46 high peaks here in the Adirondack Montains. You'll be well on your way to becoming a Adirondack 46er when you hike up Mount Marcy, the tallest peak in New York at 5,344 feet, or Whiteface Mountain, the fifth highest at 4,867 feet.

Bicycling Rent a bicycle (or bring your own) and pedal through a scenic ride around our grounds. Be adventurous and enjoy the thrill of downhill mountain biking at Whiteface Mountain. Rental Canoes, Kayaks & Innertubes Rent a canoe or kayak and take it out for a paddling adventure on the many ponds and lakes in the area. Rent our tubes for a float in the Ausable River along the back of our campground.
